RE EUROPE BACKS PRIVACY RIGHTS AGAINST SEARCH ENGINES LIKE G OGGLE

Great stuff.

NYT not eager to come down on Europe's side here, is it?

It is way past time that the Casanova Hand of the overly licentious free press, and its internet counterpart, should be reined in, by government, from so much g og(g)ling?

Chilling effect?

The alternative, here, has shown itself to have been in many ways worse: frozen solid media political opacity, puppetry, and self serving obfuscation,

widespread violence unrest  and pornography,

and lost privacy,

all together, in the name of free expression and transparency (read also, the free Murdochian market).

Here's a related story, re the expansion of the global wired laissez faire situation, BBC World News:

"Is technology To Blame For The London Riots?"

Not quite the right answer,
but good question,
going forward.
