I have mentioned this before.
Thousand island dressing.
Mix a little ketchup and a little more of mayo and olive oil.
Add minced dill pickles, minced sweet onion, capers pressed with a garlic press, Lea & Perrins or some other similar steak sauce, a dash, diced green olives, etc. A drop of mild Greek pepperoncini juice. That is probably enough of an idea of it.
The older recipes used minced sweet pickles, and I see no reason not to do so. You can even substitute some other tomato liquid rather than ketchup. The oil and mayo need to be preponderant, however. Use garlic powder if not enough garlic flavor in the pickles. Tabasco to taste.
To tell you the truth, I would slather this on almost anything savory!
