It's the Environment, Stupid? is no exception to the Thomas L Friedman Fallacy.
Some things are fallacies because Thomas L Friedman asserts them. (Trust me, Thomas L Friedman does not believe in anything, except perhaps the existence of the state of Israel.)
If Thomas L Friedman says something is true (whether he believes that or not), even if, for example, because Trump believes it, it is still a Thomas L Friedman Fallacy.
How can this be? The logic of the argument here is labyrinthine. I will let you all try to smell your way through it. You would have to be a fallacy blood hound. Few exist.
This is the so called take away, a thing designed strictly for retards:
If Thomas L Friedman believes it (and it is really impossible to ever pin him down, so it is strictly speaking an academic point), it is wrong.
The one big thing that he seems to have been nailed with actually believing is globalization is good for you.
I don't know if he has yet back pedaled on even that, but it should happen any day now. He will say things like he never really wanted it, but was merely chronicling what he saw unfolding, stuff like that. Or, it has been defeated by other forces of regress he also described. That is what he is now saying I am sure.
