RE WHITE HOUSE ENDANGERED ECONOMISTS
Here's a tip:
Given how things have gone, really since Adam Smith, say 1776, with advice from this narrow dull field, they are increasingly endangered everywhere their advice is closely followed.
There are a lot of good reasons, and good authority, for this: some of them are referred to elsewhere on this blog.
An important, and related, point, for Americans, especially, is that the self interests actuating the invisible hand have been as ineffective and inadequate a model for political policy as a framework for morality.
