"African Slavery In America" is not by Paine.
Paine, it turns out, was neither an anti slavery nor an anti imperialist activist.
Although he hung out with Mary Wollstonecraft a lot, same circle, apparently, he took no activist interest whatsoever in the Wollstonecraft's rights of women as a cause, according to Clark.
Paine cared as little about emancipating women as Lincoln.
