RE PAX MONGOLICA ENLIGHTENED MONGOL DESPOTS ECONOMISTS' FANTASY PAX SINICA
If you read Power And Plenty, and other similar accounts of the so called Pax Mongolica, you get the impression of benevolent enlightened helpful friendly Mongol Khans, the kind of people that the Chinese now ostensibly are becoming, joining the commonwealth of enlightened nations in a spirit of hope and global unity. They want to make The South China Sea, and elsewhere in Asia, Eurasia, and Africa, safe for all of us to trade freely and openly. Call it The Pax Sinica.

MODERN HUMANS REICH'S ACCOUNT LIKE A LOCKE TABULA RASA OUT OF AFRICA
'The spread was so fast that it is hard to believe that archaic humans put up any resistance at all', really.
East Asia, West Eurasia, same almost instantaneous story he tells.
It somehow does not fit his male dominator mixture paradigm, so he can dismiss it as something he need not comment on adversely.
It is almost as if they were talked into their graves, reasoned into their graves by more enlightened humans than they, went extinct voluntarily without a struggle, acknowledged they were obsolete.
Hardly even any evidence of his favorite ancient human process, mixing. Almost no mixing here, between archaic humans, who had been there for almost 2 million years, with modern humans. Just an abrupt quiet early and welcome grave, to hear Reich recount it.
He makes it sound like a brief and peaceful liberal transition to modernity. David Reich, p. 191. An effect akin to erasing a blackboard, creating a blank slate for the new people......
David Reich, on the other hand, would go with the "Pax Mongolica" Whig economic historian account as easily as he claims the Neanderthals went extinct.

BINGO! CALL IT LATE FALL OUT FROM GENGHIS' MELTING POT PAX MONGOLICA
Remember my recent post:
"RE IS COSMOGLOBO TARGETS WHY NOT MORE CHINESE RUSSIAN JAPANESE?
They have big cities, too. (Talk to the Uyghurs.) They would love to take over your Holy Land, too, consign all nonessential bedouins there to Africa (not allow any to immigrate, as refugees, to Russia China or Japan), and keep the oil, each, for themselves alone. They don't say that, of course, but the Chinese have been getting Africa ready, even now." Turkey has now arrested Uyghurs for the nightclub attack in Istanbul the other day.Bingo! I would just add that it now appears that China may have been exporting or driving off its unwanted Muslim Uyghurs to Turkey. Great idea!
Economists like to hold up Genghis' Mongolian Empire as the best model for free safe open global trade. They call it the Pax Mongolica!
Just think of it as Early Multiculturalism.
It was popular in the Ancient Near East as well, but on a smaller scale.
I will tell you a different story, a darker story, anon....

Nicolas Wade, Before the Dawn, the reality:
Mongol soldiers doubtless raped many women during their extraordinarily cruel and murderous campaigns.....But there may be a more significant reason.....Genghis accumulated a large harem in which he seems to have labored with surprising industry..." p. 235, 236; vide Rashid Ad-Din, Ata Malik-Juvaini, David Morgan, University of Wisconsin, Chris Tyler-Smith, Oxford.
