re DK POST ACTIVISM, THEN AND NOW, PART II, EXCERPT

"... This, perhaps, is the simplest link between the SDS radicals of 50 years ago and our own today: the belief that only a select few know the path to truth and justice, and that they in turn need not respect the views of others.  Then the select few was defined by ideology, now they are defined by demography. Both clearly are profoundly anti-democratic.  I do not think either set of beliefs can hold the United States together as a functioning nation, and I don't think a majority of Americans do so either.  Yet they are mainstream on the intellectual left dominates universities and major news organizations.." DK.

Crosscutting multicultural and ethnicity aspects of liberal democracy, both ideology and ethnicity, more than anything else, more even than its anti intellectualism, the eager inclination to the sway of demagogues, inherent susceptibility to endemic systemic drift, have finally shown its tendencies, in its bastion, its inherent tendencies toward demise as a usable ideology.

Neither liberal democratic ideology nor ethnicity are profoundly anti-democratic.

On the contrary, they together are emblematic of democracy itself.

" A weak ineffective and inactive multi level electoral government, hounded perennially and customarily by protests of all kinds, ecustomarily masculated and overborne by a powerful diverse and licentious press, whose important as well as trivial political decisions of all kinds are made by big players in the global markets, and by local grifters to the extent local markets are left to locals, in local markets."

This is a good working definition of a good liberal democracy.
