This is not an isolated publication effort, but comprehends so much larger a program to vilify white people in relationship to all people, not just American African-Americans, who have ever been oppressed in the course of history, or even pre-history for that matter.
For example if you look at David REICH'S who we are and how we got here, you see that this book dovetails with the New York Times story of Western civilization from before 1500, far back into pre-history, until today.
The proxy stooges the New York Times selected were people who had been marginalized, so that they could stand in for the marginalization of Hebrews since the time of Jesus Christ, and the beginning of the persecution of all Jews who did not accept him as their Messiah.
In fact, New York Times leftist Jews in the 1619 project have branded the entire white race itself, since even before the time of Jesus, just as David REICH also did, as the only race guilty of original sin, which cannot ever be expunged or expiated, because they have been oppressors of Hebrews in Palestine and elsewhere and of all other races, according to the New York Times, and are the only race of oppressors so classified. This interpretation, from the New York Times, of all white people, is tantamount to classifying them as hereditary Nazis genetically.
As David Reich put it, early modern Indo Europeans, commonly called ARYANS.
I did not make this analysis up. It's right there in print in the New York Times the 1619 project (and in REICHS's book), and it's multiple articles and educational publications distributed throughout the country in public school systems everywhere.
