Stalin had had a chance to leave a floundering and weak Weimar Regime in power.
He chose not to do that, as Professor Kaiser intimates, by supporting the Communists, and thus accidentally assuring political control for the Nazis by default.
One wonders how he could have done this, had he been familiar with Mein Kampf.
This is also a curious course for Stalin, given his fear, generally, of other Communist regimes actually coming to power, which might then threaten his, either ideologically or militarily.
