LEONHARDT CALLS OUT ONLY REPUBLICANS RE TERRORISM

Noting how they have called out Muslims to curb their excessive terrorism compared to anyone else.

If you look at the patterns of terrorism, it seems to me that the US and Russia have both been right up there since WWII.

Looking especially at the blind terrorism of Vietnam and elsewhere in South Asia, our multiple misadventures in the Middle East more recently, mimicking Vietnam scenarios, it is hard to call out only Republicans here for those, and their sheer scale dwarfs that of American whacko mass shooters here, or even, frankly, that of Islamic terrorists worldwide since WWII.

REICH TALKS ABOUT RACE A LOT HERE AND THERE

BUT IT IS ALL ABOUT MIXING. SEE CH 4.

But, is Bronze Age genetic homogenization, Industrial Revolution dissemination, or IT Age global homogenization (p. 96) really a good thing, for anyone, when one considers what biologists and others have had to say about the virtues of diverse and distinct, sometimes ancient, strains of plants and animals?

Why should humans be any different in these respects?

You cannot expect either globalist liberal homogenization ideology like Reich's, or its ideological companion globalist market capitalism and especially its genetic modification GMO agribusinesses like Monsanto's, to protect you from the inevitable consequences of their enormous human plant and animal world blunders, regarding food or human health, which are now bound to happen, either in the name of their fat cat top .1% agribusiness profits, or of their equalitarian racial mixing melting pot democratic ideology.

AMHERST COMMON LANGUAGE GUIDE RACE GENDER PASSAGE

This passage is from Postmodernism 101, a David Kaiser post, quoting from the Guide in his narrative account:

'The definition of “racism” identifies the group that holds power more specifically.

'“A system of advantage and disadvantage based on the socially constructed category of ‘race’ and the idea of white racial superiority and black racial inferiority. Specifically within the United States, racism refers to white racial prejudice and power used to advantage white people over indigenous people, black people and people of color(IBPOC) and has been made possible by the historic and present-day unequal distribution of resources. Racism is enacted on multiple levels—institutional, interpersonal, individual and ideological—and can exist both consciously and unconsciously. Unconscious or covert racism is often hidden and not recognized as racial discrimination, whereas overt racism refers to conscious attitudes and intentions to harm and discriminate against IBPOC. Both covert and overt racism are forms of violence and are rooted in the idea of white supremacy.”

'In an age when any of us can send a swab to ancestry.com and receive a breakdown of the tribal and racial origins of our particular genetic inheritance, one cannot help but be a bit surprised by the assumption that “’race’” is nothing but a socially constructed category, even if one believes, as I do, that the intellectual endowments of all racial groups are comparable.  More shocking, however, is the extraordinarily America-centric idea that racism only involves beliefs in white superiority over black people (although the definition immediately includes other “people of color”—that is, nonwhites—among its victims.)  As a matter of historical fact, racism, whether defined as prejudice or as systematic oppression, has existed all over the world since the beginning of human history.  Many Asians remain convinced today not only that Asian civilizations are superior to others, but also that certain Asian peoples such as Chinese or Japanese are superior to other Asian peoples.  Both American Indian tribes and African tribes often regarded each other with the deepest hostility as well.  But here, racism connects only to “the idea of white supremacy,” and the rest of humanity receives a pass.  In the same way, while the guide defines misogyny as “A type of gender-based oppression founded in the belief that women are inferior to and must remain subordinate to men,” “misandry,” the parallel prejudice of women against men, does not appear in it.  This is because, as another entry on “reverse oppression” explains, “women cannot be ‘just as sexist as men,’ because they do not hold political, economic and institutional power.”

'Gender, indeed, plays a much more important role in the guide than race.  Here is the definition of “male privilege”:

'“A group of unearned cultural, legal, social and institutional rights extended to cisgender men based on their assigned-sex and gender. Cisgender men have access to institutional power, make the rules, control the resources and are assumed capable. Masculinity, as enacted by cisgender men, is universalized and viewed as the normative gender. Cisgender men are often unaware of their differential treatment (see Fragile Masculinity). While trans men, masculine-of-center women and nonbinary folks have access to benefits based on their proximity to hegemonic masculinity (see above definition), male privilege is reserved for cisgender men. This is particularly true for white cisgender men.”....' DK

What is especially illuminating now, with David Reich's book in hand is to compare and contrast the account in the Amherst Guide with Reich's DNA and genome hard science data and conclusions regarding race and sex throughout hominid prehistory and into its early recorded history.

SEX BIAS HAS BEEN CENTRAL TO THE HISTORY OF OUR SPECIES

P 234.

IT HAS BEEN THE RULE RATHER THAN A RARE EXCEPTION.

His account seems to make clear also that race bias, whatever it has meant to those populations who were actuated by it, has been even more central, underlying what he describes as sex bias and inequality.

SEE DK CURRENT POST

This especially interesting observation re history, and history departments:

"Saddest of all, from my point of view, one of the ideas that Orwell cited as fashionable--that truthful history cannot be written--is now orthodoxy in most history departments." DK

This connects with comments I have made re the evils of disciplinary compartmentalization and specialization, and the notions of expertise and of experts, notions almost everyone has come more or less to accept, more or less blindly, in their everyday lives, partly from a kind of necessity generally, but also from gullibility, and from the many vulnerabilities of life in modern society.

Race, gender, and orientation history are just several obvious examples, some of which he cites, of this specialization, within the discipline of history.

One could list similar tendencies in many different disciplines of the social sciences. Sociology and psychology are classic examples. I think we even have things like gender and feminist economics now. And of course there is generational sociological history, or however one calls what S & H did.

Long ago, we started having things like ' area studies ', focusing on one particular culture, civilization, or group of countries.
The above observations were partly why I have found works which combine older and modern disciplines, histories of academic disciplines, and things like sociology of knowledge, philosophy of social and exact sciences, history of knowledge, history of ideas, anthropology of ideas, cultural history, social philosophy, economic history, political economy, ethics, moral philosophy, moral sciences, and which cut against the tendencies toward specialization, of particular interest.

REICH WIKIPEDIA AVOID DISCUSSING RACE OR ETHNICITY RE CASTE

They refer to it in terms of social stratification and endogamy, without getting at distinctions giving rise to these classifications and groupings.

Presumably West Eurasians not only conquered ANIs, but also looked quite different. The meanings of the term caste comprise racial and ethnic differences, which Wikipedia and Reich both omit, yet Reich calls out the sexual dominance of W Eurasian males as disturbing, refers to racial features of African American slavery white mating facts, and to caste and endogamy (but not race or ethnicity) among Jews.

Why shouldn't his account confront the racial and ethnic features of this prehistory head on, rather than limiting his account ostensibly to caste defined as strictly as "social stratification" and "endogamy", while nevertheless using polemical analogy, innuendo, and aspersion, to bring race and ethnicity back in through the back door?  He can't have it both ways.......

You have to ask him.

It seems that such a pattern of population mixing is typical of hominids throughout prehistory, going back over a million years.

What is unnatural or disturbing about in the least, unless one assumes a Lockean or Rousseauian origins theory?

DAVID REICH RE CHINA'S RISE TO WORLD DOMINATION

Let's talk race.

Not the Charles M Blow American bullshit white black kind.

Here's my paraphrase of sexual implications of Reich's argument on racial ethnic cultural population mixing in India, transposed to the near future. It is not a quote from Reich:

This pattern is MORE OR LESS what one might expect from a Chinese-speaking people, returning finally after 500 years, to their historical weight, and once again taking the reins of global power, 25 years or more from now, and mixing only somewhat with the globallocals in a more or less stratified world, with Chinese males having more success in finding mates than disenfranchised groups killed, temporarily imprisoned, eaten or enslaved. p. 140

'It is certainly correct that today’s populist right employs relativistic arguments: For example, “identity politics” is bad when embraced by people of color, but “identitarianism” — white-nationalist identity politics — is good and necessary for white “survival.” But simply because this happens after postmodernism doesn’t mean it happens because of postmodernism, as Kakutani suggests.'

THE OTHER INCALCULABLE BLUNDER BIGGER THAN LOSING WWII TO THE SOVIETS

Was this role below, leading to American style market globalization, quoted in an earlier post from Sir Michael Howard:

"Only one thing could have prolonged the existence of the  European  Empires---the continuing approval and support of the United States. It was the denial of that support that spelled the end of the old European Empires. The citizens of the United States had not joined in the Second World War to prop up a system of imperial domination against which they had been the first people to revolt.  And it has been with genuine bewilderment that they find themselves today so generally reviled as its inheritor....."

I would point out however, regarding Professor Howard's term ' imperial domination ', that the American colonies suffered nothing like imperial domination, really, nothing whatsoever comparable to that of more primitive pre industrial societies at that time.

Reading Bailyn's accounts in Ideological Origins, and The Origins of American Politics, and having been persuaded by Professor Allison's presentations on this topic, nothing like real imperial domination was ever really visited on the American colonists, except in their fevered imaginations.

Granted, they were unrepresented in Parliament, but so also were Birmingham, Sheffield, and I believe Manchester, at that time.....

As Allison pointed out, they were the most lightly burdened people by government impositions in the world, ever, while also being, on the other hand, among the most heavily benefited, I would add, before or since, in all of world history.

The British fought, and won, the Seven Years War, which Washington began, defending the colonies, among many other objectives, against both the French and the Spanish, shortly before the Colonies chose to rebel in gratitude.

EXCERPTS 10 YEARS AFTER DK POST THE VITAL CENTER TRADING AMERICAN INTERESTS THE OTHER INCALCULABLE BLUNDER

People seem to like this old DK post, here are a few excerpts, re clash of civilizations:

"The Egyptian elections gave two Islamist parties, the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafists, well over half the votes. Something similar has happened in Tunisia. The Egyptian brotherhood has announced that it opposes, for now at least, a coalition with the Salafists. But the significance of these developments remains enormous. A clash of civilizations looms on the horizon, because the momentum of western civilization has been halted, and then reversed, in the last half century.…Western civilization has been under attack from the left and the right here in the United States….A clash of civilizations looms because the hegemony of western civilization is now a thing of the past….Israel was created by secularists in the wake of the Second World War, when no one imagined what a role religion would play in the lives of those not yet born. It dreamed, apparently, of a relatively secular Middle East in which it could co-exist with its neighbors."

Yes.

I would just add that the West has most tellingly been under attack here, not either from the left, or from the right, as DK says, but rather from what has been called by, eg E J Dionne, The Vital Center, the bi partisan globalist consensus, especially in the last half century to which he refers.

Another very very important point, one I have referred to in posts, as 'the other incalculable blunder', was one Sir Michael Howard pointed out at various times, that the later decline of the West, after WWI, but especially at and after WWII, was the result of strictly American decision making.

Basically, we got rid of Western Europe's civilizational empires such as they admittedly were, starting after WWI, taking over only what we felt like having, and then singlehandedly during and after WWII, left Eastern Europe under the control of an absolutist Orthodox Civilizational, lower class, merely ostensibly socialist (fit with FDR) , dictator, Stalin.

One reason why someone like Field Marshall Montgomery, who had been in a position to know, and who (unlike Patton) survived the WWII debacle, pointed out that we had lost it to the Soviets.

' (Eisenhower:) "From a tactical point of view," he said, "it is highly inadvisable for the American Army to take Berlin and I hope political influence won't cause me to take the city. It has no tactical or strategic value and would place upon the American forces the burden of caring for thousands and thousands of Germans, displaced PERSONS and Allied prisoners of war." Patton was dismayed. "Ike, I don't see how you figure that out," he said. "We had better take Berlin, and quick-- and on to the Oder!" '

'...(Patton) again urged Eisenhower to take Berlin. It could be done, argued Patton, in forty-eight hours. "Well, who would want it?" Eisenhower asked. Patton paused, then put both hands on Eisenhower's shoulders and said "I think history will answer that question for you." ' Toland, The Last 100 Days, p 371.

RE WIKIPEDIA BRZEZINSKI BIN LADEN ACCOUNTS

This question is for the Trilaterals, Bilderbergs, and CFRs out there:

Which pathetic account do you like less:

1. The one which says that he and his fighters were trained, backed, and financed by the CIA and MI6 and others against the Soviets.

2. The one which says that he and his fighters were merely financed by them and others?

3. The one which says that Bin Laden and his fighters weren't even on their radar?

Why?

Bear in mind that each pathetic account is pathetic for different reasons, that is, pathetic in different ways, than the other two.

There are no wrong answers.

Extra credit question:

What do I mean by ' pathetic '?

"...I see irony here, because this whole postmodern ideology could never have emerged from anywhere but at the heart of western civilization, which gave the world the idea of equal political rights and successively extended that idea to new economic and social groups, to all races, and to women as well as men. Yet some postmodernists have now repudiated that idea as a snare and a delusion. This is how the distinguished historian Joan Wallach Scott, who has worked for decades at Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Study, could actually come to argue, in a recent book, that the Enlightenment, not the Muslim religion, has had the worst impact on women’s rights in the Muslim world. That, however, offers a clue as to how this remarkable world view, so utterly at odds with both historical and contemporary realities, could have become so popular. And here, in another irony, the postmodernists have something to tell us...."[1] David Kaiser

IF YOU ARE WHITE MINORITY SAY ANYTHING ADVERSE ABOUT NEGROES IN S AFRICA YOU GO TO JAIL

And you deserve it, baby. That is called the rule of law!

That poor bastard, Catzavelos , was in fricking Greece, said breath of fresh air, no negroes (I am with him on that), he goes to jail in S Africa.

Adam CatzavelosGreat stuff. Why not death fricking sentence? Capital crime. Lynching....Seems fair. Affirmative Action.

The last person sentenced on a similar charges, Vicky Momberg who called black people monkeys, was sentenced to three years in jail last year.

American social scientists are saying that chimps should have and are entitled to human rights.

If they have, and are entitled to those, then they must, perforce, already have natural rights!

So, is calling a negro a chimp derogatory to the negro, to an American Boston University liberal primate social scientist?

No. If anything, from a Boston social scientist perspective, it is an aspersion on the chimp!

Asians from different countries call eachother monkeys regularly. Just let some S African negroes try to put a Chinese or a Russian, in jail down there for calling negroes monkeys, and see what happens.

Think back to the heady days of Eldridge Cleaver, Soul On Ice, and Malcolm X, The Autobiography. They said some rather negative things about white folks, some of them true.

I want to send all white folks who have to do prison time down there.

If an off white American casts aspersions on negroes down there, American negroes will swarm to the side of the S African negroes. Who could blame them.

The white American stupid enough to be caught down there doing that deserves what he gets, baby.

American whites had empowered negro racists in the first place, there and here.

Smell the coffee, baby.
