RE THOMAS L FRIEDMAN IS FLAT

 Professor

TLF is worried sick about his democratic system...

Why not give him, and his kind, something else real big to think about?:

Most of the people (wannabe Democrats of color all, who would vote against their white oppressors given any chance at all) on the planet are now quite economically totally starving and or obsolete, even by Krugman's liberal left criteria, and he of all people knows this quite well.

They are no longer economically even worth bothering to enslave in most cases, as they were even as late as 150 years ago, and still are barely worth it in Africa.

They are just dross, cannon fodder, superfluous, Hitler bait, whatever.

So did many other people in the Davos Society, CFR, Round Table, Foreign Affairs, All Souls, people like Brzezinski, know, when he coined the term tittytainment, in San Francisco, September 1995. The 20:80 Society... See The Global Trap.

These superfluous billions are for environmentalist global warming crusaders like Thunberg soon going to become proper cannon fodder as well from the Left.

LIBERATE ALL DALITS!

The US states of Colorado and Michigan recently declared 14 April as Dr BR Ambedkar Equity Day. Days before that, Canada's British Columbia province also declared April as Dalit History Month.

Ambedkar, the architect of India's constitution, is the venerated leader of the Dalits (formerly untouchables), who suffered from their lowly position in the caste hierarchy. He was born on 14 April 1891.

India's constitution and courts have long recognised lower castes and Dalits as historically disadvantaged groups and offered protections in the form of quotas and anti-discriminatory laws.

Now Dalit activists and academics, particularly in the US, are trying to bring in similar recognition in the West, where the Indian diaspora has often strived to be the "model minority" - aspiring, diligent immigrants who assimilate seamlessly into the country.

"Ambedkar once quoted, 'If Hindus migrate to other regions on earth, Indian caste would become a world problem.' That is precisely what is happening now in the United States," Rama Krishna Bhupathi of the US-based civil rights group Ambedkar International Center told the BBC.

NICHOLAS DIRKS FLATLY WRONG RE COLONIALISM CAUSED OR WORSENED INDIA CASTE SYSTEM

Cf. David Reich.

Bozos of academia:  Dirks' dad, Christian Yale (A byword) professor and then missionary in Madras, where Dirks himself grew up, also home state of Kamala Harris.

All three no doubt considered British colonialism, not the fricking Hindus themselves, to blame for India backwardness and its highly unequal and long long hereditary caste system.

RE Dirks' mentor, Bernard conehead Cohn: Dittohead!:

"...Cohn's seminal contributions included work on India's caste system, by which he established that caste was solidified as a concept by the British codification of it, as well as the establishment of historical anthropology as a means to link the disciplines of anthropology and history...." Kamala's claim for reparations from all Western white males and females for all Indians due to Western colonialism will have the Dirks' works and Cohn's as Exhibit A.

only starting from during the time of white Western imperialism around 1500 AD, and that, had not Western imperialism and the caste system been imposed on their asses, they would have developed as liberally democratically technologically and  economically as purely and naturally as driven snow, from 1450 or so onward, rivalling the West every step of the way, until today, or tomorrow.

re Wilkerson caste and India re DK post

 Professor

I will just say a few words about critical race theory, having ordered Wilkerson's book from the library.

Regarding caste in India, the false story has already become an article of CRT faith here that the caste system in India had been foisted on the poor equalitarian primitive Hindus by their British colonizer oppressors, since the late 16th Century, and that that in turn has accounted for their industrial and societal developmental backwardness and inability to jump onto the democracy train long now rolling through their society.

Nothing could be further from the truth, going back into paleogenetic prehistory.

As the extremely liberal paleogeneticist David Reich has pointed out, Who We Are and How We Got Here, Hindu society had been exceedingly segregated, both endogamously by population group, and by caste both within and across endogamies, for tens of thousands of years, not since 1619.

These are not conclusions open to controversion by critical race theory, although the extent of current findings are subject to minimal revision by further paleogenetic and genomic study.

INDIA MAN KILLED FOR SITTING ON A CHAIR

Perfectly fair.

He knew he was wrong.

Presumably, they destroyed the chair......

NEGROES AND UNTOUCHABLES NOT THE SAME AT ALL, BABY, REGARDLESS OF THIS CORRESPONDENCE:

In 1913, B.R. Ambedkar arrived in New York City from Bombay at the age of twenty-two, on a scholarship to attend Columbia University that Fall and pursue an M.A. in Economics. After returning to India (not before completing a Ph.D. in London), Ambedkar would go on to become the most influential Dalit leader in India in the 20th century, the chairman of the constituent assembly that drafted the Indian constitution, and one of the most incisive theorists of caste and greatest intellectuals of modern India. From the perspective of a researcher, Dr. Ambedkar's proximity to Harlem during his years of study at Columbia has always raised several questions about his experience in the U.S. How might have his experiences in New York impacted his thinking? Aside from his influential mentors at the University (John Dewey, Edwin Seligman, James Shotwell, and James Harvey), who were his personal acquaintances in the U.S.? And did his experience witnessing anti-Black racism in America influence his thinking on the caste question in India? Despite the many allusions to race in the U.S. in his oeuvre, Ambedkar -- as far as I know -- left no first hand account of his time in New York to answer such questions.

An interesting record appears in the papers of W.E.B. Du Bois, the prominent African American intellectual and activist, whose archive is housed at the University of Massachusetts. In the 1940s, Ambedkar contacted Du Bois to inquire about the National Negro Congress petition to the U.N., which attempted to secure minority rights through the U.N. council. Ambedkar explained that he had been a "student of the Negro problem," and that "[t]here is so much similarity between the position of the Untouchables in India and of the position of the Negroes in America that the study of the latter is not only natural but necessary." In a letter dated July 31, 1946, Du Bois responded by telling Ambedkar he was familiar with his name, and that he had "every sympathy with the Untouchables of India."

As other commentators have pointed out, Du Bois had long been fascinated with India’s role as a harbinger of anticolonialism.1 He had befriended Indian "Home Rule League"nationalist Lajpat Rai, during the latter’s exile in the U.S. between 1914 and 1919. Du Bois' interest in India turned up in editorials of the N.A.A.C.P.-issued magazine The Crisis over the decades, as well as the novel Dark Princess published in 1928. For Du Bois, the cause for Indian independence was one facet of a larger movement to undo the color line that belted the world. Du Bois’ correspondence with Ambedkar, however, does not appear to extend beyond this letter.2

The analogy between the caste system and racism in the U.S., on the other hand, has a much longer and sustained history. In 1873, Jotirao Phule, an important social reformer in Maharashtra, began his polemical Gulamgiri (Slavery) with a dedication to American abolitionists "in an earnest desire that my countrymen may take their example as their guide in the emancipation of their Sudra Brethren from the trammels of Brahmin thralldom."3 Nearly a hundred years later, an organization led by Dalit artists and activists named themselves the "Dalit Panther," in reference to the Black Panthers in the U.S. In their manifesto, issued in 1971, the Panthers wrote: "From the Black Panthers, Black Power was established. We claim a close relationship with this struggle."4

In honor of Dalit history month this April, we wanted to highlight this brief but important historical exchange in the archives between two important leaders in the global struggle against the systems of racism and caste.

ETHIOPIAN ARI STRONGEST RACIST CASTE SYSTEM ENDOGAMISTS YET FOUND FORTY FIVE HUNDRED YEARS AT LEAST

Until today! Hyper racist endogamist negroes.

Send in Samantha Power!

More intense longer endogamists even than Jews. They didn't like it baby when Moses married a Cushite women. Aaron took over then.

Of course, the Jews screwed up and got destroyed and dispersed many times. They were still rather endogamous.

Ari, could be longer, not shorter. 4,500 years.

Stronger than India, a stronghold of racist caste endogamy since before the dawn of civilization until today!

DK POST RE WILKERSON AND CASTE

Professor
Just try to tell Jews that their almost prehistoric endogamy is bad.
Let Wilkerson try to convince Hindus, including those who have read David Reich's book, that their hyper localist endogamy and caste system are bad.
Let her try to convince the Chinese or the Japanese, or the Koreans, or the Vietnamese, that they may be merely equal, and not better genetically, than any other race whatsoever.
Let her try to convince any native Africans that they are not superior to American or South American negroes or mulattoes. See what the answer is.
Keep giving that a try.

BBC SURPRISE HINDUS DO NOT EVER MARRY OR THINK OF MARRYING JIGABOOS

South Asian anti-black racism: 'We don't marry black people'

Amit is Indian and kept his relationship with Michelle, who’s Ghanaian, secret for years - because he feared his family’s reaction. He says that racist attitudes about black people in his community can be influenced by colourism and the caste system.

I am hoping that Vincent comes for Amit.

Amit himself is a fricking Hindu mulatto.

But that is not his issue with Michele: she is an honest to god blackamoor Africa negro for him, baby!

Let's just touch on another touchy theme maybe running around here.

About 16 or maybe much more percent of Ghanaians are Muslims, and these folks hate Hindus and Hindus hate them, for a lot of reasons you don't need to go into here, over your heads. Take my word for it, trust me.

Gandhi was legendary: he couldn't stand jigaboos.

Just fucking try to tear down a Gandhi monument either in India or anywhere in the world.

IF A HINDU WOMAN MARRIED A JIGABOO, SHE WOULD PROMPTLY AND PROPERLY BE LYNCHED.

I am guessing Han Chinese would be thrilled to lock loins with one!

FAREED OXFORD UNION CONTINUED

...continued:

Fareed says fear, very much like Northern Republican racial fear, rejection, and dislike of negroes leading up to the Civil War, and doubt Fareed says about one's very identity (whites queered by migration, Midnight cowboys), explains why Westerners are voting populist right, rather than what he characterizes as their economic progressive best liberal or left interests.

Let's just stop here for a moment and say what might also be wrong with Fareed's picture here, a little over 10 minutes into his subtle lacework account.

The core sleight of hand is the one that evades scrutiny as he slides through his account of why the West has moved right culturally but ostensibly has moved that way against its own best economic interests lying in the other liberal and progressive direction economically.

How is that? He has simply begged the question of (assumed that) the best economic interests of the mass of the white West are liberal and left progressive.  They are not, but no time to go into all of that; this blog is filled with arguments against that.

He goes from begging the question of populist economic interests, to using the begged economic inference to then pyramid a further false inference of populists privileging their cultural interests over their Fareed falsely inferred economic ones. This is what you might called a pyramid of false inference.

His example is that a lot of rich people will vote for tax increases that will raise their taxes because they are ostensibly privileging their liberal left cultural interests over their economic ones.

But I thought he had said that people's economic interests are best served by liberal and progressive economic policies, implying that this is the case in liberal societies regardless of relative income, whereas their cultural interests, rich or poor, are more rightist now with massive immigration.

But now it seems he reasons that rich people's economic interests are more closely congruent with their cultural interests, except for the minority of rich liberals who act against their cultural interests.

So, what has his account done so far?

It has tended to leave out political, ideological, interest, as a distinct interest, either right left or centerist, out.

Secondly, it has tended to implicitly identify all political interest with economic interest.

Thirdly, it implicitly identifies rightist political interest with cultural interest, also implicitly restricting cultural interest to rightist political interest only.

So, on his remarks, it seems that political liberalism cannot clearly comprise either a unity with and among, or resolve sharply into conflict between and among, political, economic and cultural interests.

This seems to be an inconsistency, the leaving out of political interests as interests, ideological interests if you will,  in the mix, and then engaging in pretzel logic for his other two categories of interests.

Its absence gets glossed over in discussing cultural versus economic, but can be thought to illuminate why rich  folks can act against their economic interests in favor of cultural ones and vice versa, and brings him to a discussion of class.

He asserts that Americans venerate their founding fathers in a way that many other countries might find a little bizarre. He has a hard time with that. They still have the Caste System in places like Bombay.

He would, presumably be in favor of removing all countries' founding fathers' monuments, but especially ours, apparently on general Zakaria principles, without regard even for Black Lives matter negro racist reasons at all, but rather because for him and those like him, venerating founding fathers is a bizarre social and cultural behavior!

Rooskies venerate Lenin (not me), a fact Fareed would find quite bizarro too I suspect. There is a lot of basic stuff he just can't seem to figure out or find the right words for here.

RE DAVID REICH'S WHIG INDIA HINDUISM CASTE SYSTEM IS ALL ABOUT RACE

Wikipedia: Varna (Hinduism)

But beware: The wikipedia article is filled with Whig bullshit.

Varna (varṇa (वर्ण)) is a Sanskrit term. It is derived from the root vá¹›, meaning "to cover, to envelop, count, classify, consider, describe or choose" (compare vá¹›tra).[14]

The word appears in the Rigveda, where it means "colour, outward appearance, exterior, form, figure or shape".[3] The word means "color, tint, dye or pigment" in the Mahabharata.[3][clarification needed] Varna contextually means "colour, race, tribe, species, kind, sort, nature, character, quality, property" of an object or people in some Vedic and medieval texts.[3] Varna refers to four social classes in the Manusmriti.

DAVID REICH HAVING IT BOTH WAYS

'Ancient DNA has established major migrations and mixture between highly divergent populations as a key force shaping human prehistory, and ideologies that seek a return to a mythical purity are flying in the face of hard science.' DR, p 121.

'In the oldest text of Hinduism, the Rig Veda, the warrior god Indra rides against his impure enemies, or dasa, in a horse-drawn chariot, destroys their fortresses, or pur, and secures land and water for his people, the arya, or Aryans.' DR, p 123.

For Indra, the purity of his arya people, and the impurity of the dasa, while not perhaps genetically correct according to Reich, must have been based on something about which we know very little or nothing.

it certainly wasn't mythical purity at all, either for Indra or for his people.

Let's just put it this way:

Indra and his arya people, primitive people to say the least, did not just make up, in a postmodern way, the difference they obviously perceived, or read into, and then acted on, regarding the dasa

Maybe the dasa were worshippers of a rival priesthood within the same overarching temple cult. That would explain the issue of ritual purity versus impurity. That would also explain the terminology, by analogy to the Old Testament Hebrews and the rivalry between Moses and Aaron.

They were quite real rather than mythical, a present reality 5 thousand years ago or so.

If it was not borne out by differences of DNA

(and that detail, as between the arya and the dasa, whoever they may have been in relation to Reich's  more general data, seems not to have either been borne out or confuted by Reich here),

that did not make it any less a real question of purity of some sort, and and did not rule out perhaps perceptible and marked racial and cultural differences as well, either then or now.

ASK AFRICAN NEGROES CHINKS OR HINDUS WE OWE THEM A LOT

We totally fucked the Africans.

We reinstated and exacerbated the caste system in India, slaughtered thousands of them, and fucked them.

Those are the stories you will hear.

Re China, they will say we were no different from other colonial powers, even though some few of us who still think would say we weren't, they will insist that we totally fucked them, forced Christianity on their sorry asses, and then inadvertently fomented the Taiping Rebellion, and then with imperial powers (which we detested) The Boxer Rebellion, on their hapless asses.

The Open Door Policy was just a way for the US to get a piece of the imperialist pie, not to try to help these coolie bitches out at all.

ED BOYLE GREAT RANT DEEP REASONED BUT SCENT SIMIAN INSTINCTS

There's no there there.(strzok to page)
Permanent partisan warfare on cooked up charges is destructive. As Trump is from outside of the political caste and not beholden to the donor network mostly it will continue. Politicians are beholden to their paymasters not their voters regardless of party. The DOJ and FBI bosses seem all to be dems so obstruction of repub congress and endless investigations of miniscule Trump back scratching is made while Bill and Hillary can 'get away with murder' so to speak. I think it is fair to say that no other president would be so badly beaten. He invites hatred by open vitriol, bad temper, self righteous obnoxiousness. Obviously dems are used to politeness not brash bullies like khruschev or perhaps Teddy Roosevelt banging shoes, going on safaris shooting elephants. It seems almost a cultural revulsion against a good ole boy from Australian Outback or similar.

This is perhaps however a healthy phenomenon, primal scream therapy for the PC left. Trump of course uses his bad boy image as a foil while doing elsewhere what he wants. This makes him enormously popular with society's losers, increasingly 90% of the population not owning inflating assets in stock market due to QE but suffering falling incomes. So keep hunting him and ignore what he is doing or hate everything he does, says. This fixation blinds one, makes strategic thinking, rational planning impossible.

The nonsensical Russophobia is just an extension of Trump Derangement Syndrome. In crisis times a bogey man is needed for a population gone half mad, like in Germany in 30s, Ukraine recently, Iran during their revolution. The Great Satan was USA. Russia is for USA The Great Satan (or the evil jew of old,etc.). Irrational beliefs ca use kneejerk decisions like WWI. Every rational diplomatic discussion or even contact with Russia is seen as devil worship by the press epecially when undertaken by Mr. Politically Incorrect himself. So you combine the great fears of hollywood slasher films, war movies, agent thrillers- a chain saw carrying backwoods racist hick killing urban tourists/travelers(Trump personified) combined with the evil KGB agent of every agent or war film after nazis went out of vogue in last WWII 60s films. It is all just subconscious psychological working out on national scale.

The reason generational cycles theory actually works is that national catharsis which is deep and broad enough holds a society in place for a long time. Nowadays noone has this depth left. Russia lost 3-4%, 5-6 million population through suicide, starvation in the 90s, after civil war, revolution, 2nd great crisis of century. Putin is God there. His system, Eurasian concept will stick. The West is disintegrating emotionally, needs therapy. TDS and Russophobia are part of this along with Trump's war on China(reverse Nixon with Russia).

Keep broad sweep of history, deep subconscious forces clear before you. Don't believe your clique's own propaganda.

ENERGYFLOW CLASSIC RANT COMMENT ON DK SITE

So among the poor whites racial identity beats economic arguments. The concept that republican politics is bleeding them dry whereas a fair social welfare state would be the way for them is ignored. They vote against their own interests. As a side note Modi got reelected in India now on jingoism, hinduistic rhetoric while bleeding the poor, feeding the rich, building prestige projects and letting infrastructure for the masses rot. 70 years of Congress party power monopoly with corresponding corruption and decay did its work. They don't blame the new man for the general situation until much later. He doesn't own it, remains an ousider, even after 5 years leading the country. Trump will fare similarly. Both parties let white middle class down since Reagan. If Trump does not succeed in 'hope and change for whites' then a more radical left or right winger will take power or revolution, civil sar will take place.

Between 1965 and 1983 the children of those who benefited from the opportunities available took them for granted and destroyed them. They killed the goose that layed the golden eggs, i.e. a system based on a middle class mindset where anyone can rise to the top( dishwasher to millionaire). The concept of the war generation, of common effort gave way to individualism akin to earlier eras. This was inevitable cyclically. I see a basic contradiction between the success mantra and the equality, working together, conformity mantra. The churning of technology may have led to this and 'great expectations'. Each generations has a new set of rules, technological, social tool kit. How can one learn from one's father if he is 'so antediluvial'. Only if technology is relatively stable can conformity, cooperation bring success. Otherwise the outlier takes over by using technology disruptively. Rockefeller used oil, Morgan used finance. Nowadays Jobs, Gates, Bezos. So winner take all till new tech peters out and the state can penalize new founded monopolies of gilded era I, and gilded era II. Free trade was a tool for peace , to rebuild Europe, Japan via open USA markets but was used by Walton family to hollow out industrial America. Now we may get war with China due to good old American ingenuity. Ie. Individualism works against the common interest. Wealthy trade family destroyed millions of jobs and helped an ancient kingdom come to world class rival, treason? like Bezos today and Rockefeller in 19th century the common interest is not same as that of the entrepeneur.

Regarding racial equality, poverty - prison population rose tenfold(war on drugs, boomer rebellion, black power movement oppressed by racist gi generation establishment), welfare created an impoverished ghetto mentality. Voting reform pealed off the old south to a republican enclave of racists, redlining in white neighbourhoods recreated city apartheid in the north where blacks recently emigrated to escape jim crow and now were caught in ghettos with crime, police harassment, mass unemployment, single moms on welfare(unemployed papa has to leave them so they qualify). Systematized racism is tribal mentality. Nowadays at university black students resegregate to avoid microaggressions. Birds of a feather...

Caste systems may well be voluntary as values, identity are passed from generation to generation. To break from habit, rich educated, poor criminal, middle class, entrepeneurial is hard. One copies one's parents, grandparents. This magnifies itself socially, tribally.

Lots to think on. Stability may mean ossification(over millenia in old china, india, ancient Egypt), dynamism can bring chaos, war, inequality as in USA cyclically and similarly in ancient Rome.
