re a free laissez faire press

Re the recent Murdoch scandals, here was an old post of mine:

http://bozonbloggon.blogspot.com/2010/08/re-mr-paterson-editorial-same-old-media.html

HISTORY IS NOT ACTUALLY MADE MAINLY BY TITANIC INDIVIDUALS

Although I love watching Rufus, a Randian world of a few supernatural beings at the top making history,

extreme case, one human being,

determining all things by their prowess,

a meritocracy of the elite,

not something I believe in at all.

DAVID BROOKS nyt

Believes we have had a meritocracy here,

against which he poses so called a progressivism of Obamaism.

We never had a meritocracy here.

Obama is not even a real progressive,

either.

RUFUS FEARS ON CHURCHILL NEVILLE CHAMBERLAIN ETC

The Economist, 'don't want to risk a trade war..."

See my prior post:

http://bozonbloggon.blogspot.com/2013/01/post-globalist-capitalism-on-horizon.html

Watched, last night, again,  Rufus on Churchill, and British politics, Halifax, in the 30s...............

didn't want to risk a trade war......

term search playing three sides, Mary Poppins, etc.

EAST CHINA SEA DISPUTE

US backs Japan......

(Parenthetically, WW IV, now already several years into it, in my view.)

EAST CHINA SEA CHINA JAPAN JETS

All highly predictable.

The Economist December 12 was especially illuminating re the Fortune 100

They have been systematically bilked of all value, especially by the Chinese, p 62.

When will their stock prices reflect this pathetic strategic reality?

When the flow of knock offs becomes even more of a torrent, perhaps.

POST GLOBALIST CAPITALISM ON THE HORIZON

See especially The Economist , December 12, 2012, 'Hype And Fear', p 62 63.

The Economist has to downplay things they nevertheless cover, like cyber private espionage. Here The Chinese lead the pack.

P 63 is especially instructive. The J-20, etc., etc.

"...but it could be hard and would risk a trade war...."

Don't want to risk a trade war, when one can appease oneself into oblivion.

Please.
