He had some really good ideas, as well as considerable anticipation, way back in 1996.
One of them was what he called abstention, I will call it civilizational abstention, which is really what he meant.
For a variety of reasons, this is not a concept, as he pointed out, which the US is able or willing to do.
Why is that? Take some guesses. I'll give you a hint: start with our Constitution.
