I would have thought that it would have been more useful to advert to, say, The Council On Foreign Relations, going back much farther, than the 1971 Powell Memo......

Certainly, a more realistic assessment, by business itself, of its own position, in 1970 or so, was, say, Sovereignty At Bay.
