In open democracies, small portions of the enormous and mostly youthful, unemployed, and 'unemployable' in those present arrangements, and now global, under class, can exist in the heart of jewel-like urban centers; (yet this has often been a liability for those cities in countries or empires where freedom of movement has been allowed).
Call it symptomatic of the aftermath of empire.... '...boredom alienation and isolation.'
