Why not suggest the wise feds step in and declare it once again a territory,
say impose martial law up there;
discuss rolling it into adjacent states.
Why not ask: Why not?
Thus for example, why limit it to adjacency?
or, why limit it to existing states;
why not say China, or Japan as a successor;
sort of a partial reverse loan federal repayment?
Call it 'The Minnesota Purchase'.
