Thus, the US and other MNCs have been growing their 'markets', they have thought, quite knowingly, at the expense of advanced populations, and their children, and their childrens' children, and so on to infinity.
But there is perhaps a limit beyond which they cannot go.
The limit is that short term profitability is not the only criterion for such decisions, in the long run;
and by long run, I am not referring to Keynes' famous dictum,
but something quite other.
