This does not correspond to the rich and the poor,
so far as voter conceptions are concerned;
but as it relates to the actual party machinations,
a decidedly different thing,
it is not so far wrong.
On the other hand, the crucial sense,
individual party machinations aside, of course,
in which it is wrong, even from the perspective of the blue,
is in the fatal field of foreign policy, especially trade and investment policy,
and such faux glosses as human rights,
where distinctions between red and blue are, practically, indistinguishable,
and irrelevant,
if, however, either way,
fatal.
