TLF says China mostly sold us shallow goods until now, meaning that it mostly meant nothing really or nxt to nothing to us or to anyone else.
Now he says they are trying to take over deep goods. But he's ok with that.
He wants a deal, because no deal will result in a more fractured, less prosperous, and less peaceful world.
A deal with China, according to Friedman, will help solve all of that.
