VIOLIN FOIBLES DENDROCHRONOLOGY DIALOGUE
Dealer: I am sorry, but the violin is not as old as you think it is.
Collector: But, I got a dendrochronology certificate!
Dealer: We get those too, for our violins!
Collector: So what is wrong with my certificate?
Dealer: That is not our violin!
Collector: But you sold it 70 years ago, and then again 50 years ago, with your certificates as by a very well known Italian maker, and made circa 1730!
Dealer: Dendrochronology did not exist back then.
Collector: But, I got a dendrochronology certificate!
Dealer: We get those too, for our violins!
Collector: So what is wrong with my certificate?
Dealer: That is not our violin!
