It has been claimed that your government interfered in American presidential elections. Is that true?
No, Terry. We monitor them, but do not interfere. One reason for that is that we wish to maintain our anonymity in that monitoring process; another reason is that we do not want to alarm those whom we monitor by disclosing the identity of our agents as Russian government agents. There are also other reasons which it is best for all concerned that I not discuss with you here today. It is the best policy for all concerned.
I see what you mean Mr. President. I feel a lot better about these allegations now, and I am sure our audience will understand your point of view. Furthermore, now that the Mueller Report confirms what you are saying here about American candidates and their campaigns not even knowing that they were being monitored by Russian agents or that they had unknowingly retweeted Russian agents' messages, I know that the American people will feel comfortable in future with the integrity and patriotism of their candidates and their campaign, and with the integrity of the Russian government in this matter.
