The Saudi Prince is not an American. Neither was Khashoggi.
He was executed, apparently as a traitor or blasphemer or both, in their Embassy, in a third country.
Get over it.
Americans all blame Russians for interfering in our internal affairs.....
In my view the US position is just another of the innumerable instances of the US committing to political positions that are both untenable politically and strategically, but also are frankly foolish, and are diplomatic embarrassments.
If the Prince ever grabbed one of these vocal senators and had them Khashoggied, that would be a proper diplomatic incident.
The Venona books mention some American citizens who were Soviet spies. They sometimes kept their jobs as journalists, or went into journalism, after their cover had been blown. One notable one worked directly for Walter Lippmann. They should have been quietly Khashoggied, not just terminated from their treacherous positions. Take a look at the Venona books, and make your own list. Often, what saved them was traitors in theirs and other government bureaucracies, especially State, Treasury, and the OSS itself.
