Those who are behind Trump are a very diverse group of disenchanted Americans, many of them older, not so young not to have seen that things have not been going their way for most or all of their longer lives.
They are mostly conservative men and women, first blue collar, then white collar, and then many executives, often of European descent, and old Cuban latino exile descendants, all of whom have now been betrayed in succession by successive administrations and the exigencies of global market capitalism, free trade, and free immigration, long aggressively promulgated by both parties as somehow good for everyone here.
Some are young conservatives who now believe as gospel by long propaganda that everything in Washington is inherently bad, and who really have nothing to positively believe in except popular culture nonsense.
Some of them are Christians of one stripe or another, even many Catholics. There are very few liberal Jews in this group.
